The Ahoa Clinic presents in Paris the results of the study on immediate loading implantology
Dental implantology, and specifically immediate loading implantology, revolutionizes the lives of many people on a daily basis. But this discipline has not yet reached the end of the road. During the 25th European Congress of Implantology of the scientific association EAO (European Association of Osseointegration), held in Paris last October, Dr. Cercadillo and Dr. Sánchez, from the Surgery team of the Ahoa Clinic, presented a study carried out at the University of Barcelona with even more encouraging data.
The study presented the long-term results of implant treatment in cases of complete jaws and applying immediate loading protocols. This 9-year study provided highly representative data for the scientific community, since it shows that the immediate loading procedure in these cases is a predictable and reliable treatment. a 99,5% success rate.
This shows that the success rates of immediate loading treatment have improved significantly over the years, thanks in large part to both procedural advances and new materials being used that are more compatible with the body. .
This without taking into account the more immediate benefits for patients: the intervention is much faster and less invasive, which significantly reduces recovery time and minimizes the associated discomfort.
The study was presented together with another 600 works by specialists from around the world, such as South Korea, Taiwan or Norway.
The topics that have aroused the most interest in this edition of the Congress were the care and prevention of implant infection problems, bone reconstruction in cases of lack of bone and immediate loading.
