Our clinic has had a reference specialist in periodontics for a few months. This is Xavier Calvo, a graduate in Dentistry at the University of Barcelona and specialized in Periodontics at the International University of Catalonia, being also a professor at this institution for several years.
As he points out when describing his profession, “I am a dentist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of gum diseases around the teeth and dental implants. If these diseases are not controlled in time, they can lead to the loss of affected teeth and/or dental implants, which can greatly reduce the person's quality of life."
Xavi completed his professional background at King's College London as a professor and currently also works as an associate professor at the University of Barcelona.
In addition to his work as a teacher and periodontist, a profession that fascinates him, are added his personal hobbies, such as doing CrossFit gymnastics and swimming. He also loves music and, in fact, he has been participating in a choir for some time.
Regarding our clinic, he states that he loves the atmosphere, its central location, the modern facilities and the quality of the work of its professionals.
